CPD Renews HR Certification Institute’s Approved Provider Program for 2017

Buffalo, NY, April 23, 2012, Center for the Professional Development at Canisius College, a leading provider of training programs, today announced they have renewed their HR Certification Institute™ (HRCI™) Approved Provider status. The agreement enables Center for the Professional Development at Canisius College to offer re-certification credits to HRCI certification holders when they complete the organization’s [details of product or service].  HRCI certification holders are required to re-certify every three years by earning 60 HRCI-approved re-certification credits that can be gained through a number of professional development programs and resources.

 

CANISIUS COLLEGE NOW OFFERS CFP BOARD-REGISTERED ONLINE PROGRAM IN FINANCIAL PLANNING

 

BUFFALO, April 26, 2017 – The Center for Professional Development at Canisius College in Buffalo has registered with Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board) to provide a new online financial planning certificate program.

An independent certifying organization, CFP Board owns the CFP® and Certified Financial PlannerTM certification marks, which it awards to individuals who meet its education, examination, experience, ethics and other requirements.  Students completing the financial planning program at Canisius College will have met the Education requirement for CFP® Certification Examination administered by CFP Board.

“CFP Board is pleased to approve the program at Canisius College as a CFP Board Registered Program,” said Blaine Aikin, CFP®, chair of CFP Board’s Board of Directors.  “As student interest in financial planning as a career continues to grow, we anticipate that Canisius’ program will contribute significantly to the number of qualified candidates seeking to attain the CFP® certification, the standard of excellence for competent and ethical financial planning.”

Today, CFP Board partners with over 340 programs at more than 240 institutions. CFP Board-Registered Programs are financial planning education programs at the college or university level that meet specific criteria for educating individuals who wish to fulfill the education component for obtaining CFP® certification.

Patrick is New Executive Director of the CPD at Canisius

Jennifer M. Patrick, MBA ’00 is the new executive director of the Center for Professional Development (CPD). Patrick is responsible for project management, quality management and resource allocation for both custom and open enrollment programs. She develops and implements strategy for open enrollment programs and marketing for increased promotion and visibility of Canisius College to the business community.

CPD Partners with The Holmes Corporation Offering CertWise® Learning System for PMP® Exam Preparation

BUFFALO, NY – The Canisius Center for Professional Development (CPD) has partnered with Holmes Corporation. This partnership allows the Canisius Center for Professional Development to deliver the CertWise® Learning System for PMP® Exam Preparation.

VESi designs and develops superior distance, asynchronous and blended continuing education courseware for professional educators and personnel in related academic or professional fields. By enrolling in VESi program through the CPD, professional educators can earn professional development units (PDUs) for their NYS Teaching Certification requirements.
