Register early to ensure your place in the selected training seminar or workshop. Fees are posted for each seminar. Some programs have special registration procedures and requirements. These are posted on the program/seminar web page. Some online seminars may have different cancellation, withdrawal and/or refund policies. Check the program description for details and contact the Canisius CPD for any clarification that you may need.
Accepted Forms of Payment
Please be aware that Canisius CPD verifies checks and credit cards to ensure that any company’s or person’s accounts are active and in good standing. Any returned payments will result in a $50 return fee.

Individual Payment Plans*
Depending on the length of the seminar, seminar participants pay a 20% down payment and up to 3 payments. All payments must be collected by the completion of the seminar (i.e. 10 week program – final payment by the last class or 1 day program – final payment by the day of the seminar).
A $50 late fee will be assessed when a payment deadline (including grace period) is missed.
*Online classes are not eligible for payment plans due to the release of the complete program upon signing up.
If an individual is seeking their employer to pay for the seminar, a PO must be provided to the Center for Professional Development at the time the individual’s registration. If POs are not provided, the individual must provide a corporate payment agreement stating if the employer does not pay, the individual will be personally responsible for all incurred fees.
The Center for Professional Development does accept alternate forms of payment such as Sallie Mae (Smart Option/Career Training Loans), POST 911-GI Bill, MyCAA, WIA/WOA (Including VocRehab and all workforce training grants) and other alternative funding. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that the funding will cover the appropriate seminar.
General Cancellation Policy 2017
Class size is limited–first come, first served.
You must cancel in writing at least five business days prior to the program. The registration will be refunded less a $25 administrative fee.
Cancellations received less than five business days before the program begins are not eligible for a refund (illnesses or unavoidable events will be dealt with on an individual basis). No-shows will not be refunded.
Substitutions from the same company for the entire program will be permitted. Please notify the Canisius CPD at least 48-hours prior to make adjustments for materials with names. Please submit all requests via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cancellations must be received in writing to email@example.com or Canisius CPD, 2001 Main Street, Science Hall 1005, Buffalo NY 14223.
The Canisius CPD reserves the right to cancel and/or change the location and dates of seminars. If enrollment is inadequate, the seminar will be cancelled, the registrants notified, and a full refund will be provided.

Canisius College at Science Hall
Physical Location: 1901 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14208
Please park in the Parking Garage on Jefferson Avenue (marked “16” on the map). You will need to speak with the public safety officer in the booth and display your parking permit, see attached. You will walk through the enclosed walkway right into Science Hall.
Please note the location in your confirmation email. Locations may vary depending on training. The seminar location will be marked by signs stating “SEMINAR THIS WAY”. These signs will start at the parking ramp.

We suggest business casual dress code. Consider dressing in layers as each room varies in temperature throughout the day.
Seminar materials will be provided and a notepad and writing utensils are suggested for notes.
Full day seminars are provided lunch. Coffee, tea and water are provided throughout all the seminars.

Weather Related Cancellations:
Please note that if there is inclement weather and the Canisius CPD is closed or an instructor has to cancel due to weather complications, everyone will be notified by email in which he/she provided. Please check your email regularly for any updates.
