Payment Policy 2018

Seminar Fees

Register early to ensure your place in the selected training seminar or workshop. Fees are posted for each seminar, however, please note that some programs have special registration procedures and requirements. These are posted on the program/seminar web page. Some online seminars may have different cancellation, withdrawal and/or refund policies. Check the program description for details and contact the Canisius CPD for any clarification that you may require.

Accepted Forms of Payment

The Canisius CPD accepts checks and online payment via PayPal. Receipt of full payment must be made in advance of the first day of the seminar/training program.

Individual Payment Plans

The CPD does not offer individual payment plans, however, should you have any questions regarding this, please contact the Executive Director at 716-888-8494.

Corporate Payments

If an individual is seeking their employer to pay for the seminar or training program, a purchase order (PO) must be provided to the Center for Professional Development in advance of the individual’s registration. If a PO is not available then written confirmation from the employer finance department authorizing the expense will be accepted.

Alternate Funding

The Center for Professional Development does accept alternate forms of payment such as Sallie Mae (Smart Option/Career Training Loans), POST 911-GI Bill, MyCAA, WIA/WOA (Including VocRehab and all workforce training grants) and other alternative funding. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that the funding will cover the appropriate seminar.

General Cancellation Policy 2018

Class size is limited–first come, first served.

You must cancel in writing at least five business days prior to the program. The registration will be refunded less a $25 administrative fee.

Cancellations received less than five business days before the program begins are not eligible for a refund (illnesses or unavoidable events will be dealt with on an individual basis). No-shows will not be refunded.

Substitutions from the same company for the entire program will be permitted. Please notify the Canisius CPD at least 48-hours prior to make adjustments for materials with names. Please submit all requests via email to [email protected].

Cancellations must be received in writing to [email protected] or Canisius CPD, 2001 Main Street, Science Hall 1005, Buffalo NY 14223.

The Canisius CPD reserves the right to cancel and/or change the location and dates of seminars. If enrollment is inadequate, the seminar will be cancelled, the registrants notified, and a full refund will be provided.

Seminar Information

Thank you for choosing Center of Professional Development at Canisius College as your training provider. Below is general information about the session(s) for your review.

Training Location:

Canisius College at Science Hall
Physical Location: 1901 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14208

Parking:

Please park in the Parking Garage on Jefferson Avenue (marked “16” on the map). You will need to speak with the public safety officer in the booth and display your parking permit, upon arrival. You will walk through the enclosed walkway right into Science Hall.

Location:

Please note the location in your confirmation email. Locations may vary depending on training. The seminar location will be marked by signs stating “SEMINAR THIS WAY”. These signs will start at the parking ramp.

Parking at Canisius College Campus:

Please refer to the campus map website for directions and instructions on where to park. Parking will vary depending on which building your training session is. Please click here for a campus map.

Dress Code:

We suggest business casual dress code. Consider dressing in layers as each room varies in temperature throughout the day.

Suggested Materials:

Seminar materials will be provided and a notepad and writing utensils are suggested for notes.

Refreshments:

Coffee, tea and water are provided throughout all the seminars.

Weather Related Cancellations:

Please note that if there is inclement weather and the Canisius CPD is closed or an instructor has to cancel due to weather complications, everyone will be notified by email in which he/she provided. Please check your email regularly for any updates.

If Canisius College closes, all events at the Center for Professional Development will be cancelled. For notification on cancellations, tune into WGRZ TV, Channel 2; WIVB TV, Channel 4; WKBW TV, Channel 7; Time Warner Cable-YNN.
